Tankless Water Heater Installation in Woodstock, GA
Tankless is a real upgrade in the right house and a bad fit in the wrong one, and the deciding factors are gas line size, venting path, and how many fixtures you run at once. We check all three before we quote it, because a tankless unit starved for gas is a very expensive way to get lukewarm water.
What's included
- Gas line sizing calculated for the unit's full input, with the meter and every other appliance counted
- Venting path surveyed — the termination location decides whether this job is straightforward or not
- Simultaneous-demand estimate against your actual fixture count and incoming water temperature
- Isolation valves fitted so the unit can be flushed without cutting anything
- Condensate handled and neutralised on a condensing unit
- Dedicated electrical supply where required
- Commissioning against the manufacturer's gas pressure specification, static and running
- Permit pulled, inspection scheduled, manufacturer registration filed within 48 hours
How the visit actually goes
We measure the gas before we talk about the unit
A tankless heater can call for several times the input of the tank it replaces. If the existing line, the meter, or the total connected load will not support that, the honest answer is either an upsized line or a different recommendation — and we would rather give you that on day one.
We walk the vent path
Where the exhaust terminates, its clearance to windows, doors, soffits and the property line, and how the run gets there. This decides more of the price than the equipment does.
We count fixtures and check the incoming temperature
Flow rate is not a fixed number — it is a function of how far the unit has to raise the temperature. Groundwater here is colder in February than in August, and a unit sized off the summer number disappoints in winter, which is when people notice.
Install, commission, and set your expectations honestly
Mount, gas, vent, water, condensate, electrical, and isolation valves. Then we run it, verify gas pressure static and running, and tell you plainly what it will and will not do with two showers and a dishwasher going.
What the warranty actually covers
Cheryl files the manufacturer registration within 48 hours of every install we do, and you get the confirmation. We do that because the length of the parts coverage turns on it, and a system registered late is a system with a fraction of the coverage its owner thinks it has.
Warranty length depends on registration within roughly 60 days. The warranty is the manufacturer's, not ours. Full terms
About efficiency ratings
We will tell you the rating on any equipment we quote, and we will tell you what it is measured under. What we will not do is convert it into a number of dollars for your house. The variables that decide that — duct leakage, insulation, how you actually run the thermostat, and the weather — are all larger than the difference between two ratings, and we would be guessing at every one of them.
Ratings are federal test-procedure figures. Actual savings vary with the house. Full terms

Questions people ask before booking
How long does a tankless conversion take?
A day and a half to two days is typical if the gas line has to be upsized and the vent re-run, which it usually does. A straight tankless-for-tankless replacement is a day.
What drives the price?
Gas line upsizing, the venting run and termination, whether you want a recirculation loop, and electrical. The unit itself is often the smaller half of the number, and any quote that does not mention the gas line has not looked at the gas line.
Is my gas line big enough?
That is the question, and it is why we come out. It depends on the pipe diameter, the developed length back to the meter, the meter's capacity, and everything else connected to it — a furnace, a range, a dryer, a fireplace. We work the whole load rather than eyeballing the pipe.
Do I need a permit?
Yes. A conversion touches gas, venting, water and electrical, and it is permitted work everywhere we operate. It is in our price.
What does the warranty cover?
The manufacturer's terms, with the length depending on registration inside the window — and on many units, on documented annual descaling. The registration condition is below; we will tell you about the descaling requirement before you buy, not after.
