Ductless Mini-Split Installation in Woodstock, GA

Mini-splits solve the rooms a duct system was never going to reach: the bonus room over the garage, the sunroom, the shop, the addition somebody built without extending the trunk line. One outdoor unit, one or more indoor heads, no ductwork, and its own thermostat for that space.

What's included

  • A load calculation for the space itself, because a bonus room over a garage is not a bedroom
  • Head placement worked out with you — throw, sightlines, and where the condensate goes
  • Line-set routing planned before anything is drilled, including the exterior run and how it will look
  • Condensate handled by gravity where possible and by a pump only where it is not
  • Dedicated circuit and disconnect installed to code
  • Vacuum pulled to a measured micron level and held, then the charge verified
  • Wall penetrations sealed and flashed properly
  • Manufacturer registration filed within 48 hours

How the visit actually goes

  1. We look at the space and ask what it is actually for

A shop that gets used on Saturdays and a nursery that has to hold a temperature overnight are different jobs. So is a sunroom with a wall of west-facing glass, which is the single most common reason a room the duct system reaches is still unusable in August.

  2. We plan the line set before we plan the equipment

Where the outdoor unit sits, how the line set gets there, and what the exterior run will look like from the driveway. This is the part of a mini-split job people regret when it is done badly, and it is decided in the first twenty minutes.

  3. Install, usually in a day

Core the wall, mount the bracket and head, set the outdoor unit, run and flare the line set, land the electrical, run the condensate, and seal the penetration properly on both sides.

  4. Commission it and show you how it actually works

Vacuum verified, charge checked, both modes run, and then five minutes on the remote — because a mini-split left on the wrong fan mode is the most common reason somebody thinks a good unit is a bad one.

What the warranty actually covers

Cheryl files the manufacturer registration within 48 hours of every install we do, and you get the confirmation. We do that because the length of the parts coverage turns on it, and a system registered late is a system with a fraction of the coverage its owner thinks it has.

Warranty length depends on registration within roughly 60 days. The warranty is the manufacturer's, not ours. Full terms

About efficiency ratings

We will tell you the rating on any equipment we quote, and we will tell you what it is measured under. What we will not do is convert it into a number of dollars for your house. The variables that decide that — duct leakage, insulation, how you actually run the thermostat, and the weather — are all larger than the difference between two ratings, and we would be guessing at every one of them.

Ratings are federal test-procedure figures. Actual savings vary with the house. Full terms

Questions people ask before booking

  • How long does it take?

A single-head system in an accessible wall is usually one day. A multi-head system, a long line-set run through finished space, or an outdoor unit that has to go on a stand or a roof runs into a second day.

  • What does it cost?

We do not publish a starting number for mini-splits, and that is deliberate: the price is driven almost entirely by head count and line-set routing, so a headline figure for a one-head job in an easy wall would misdescribe most of the work we actually do. We look at the space and give you the number in writing.

  • Will one outdoor unit run several rooms?

It can, and often it should not. Multi-head systems share one compressor, so a single head calling on a mild day can run the compressor at a speed that is wrong for it. Where the rooms have genuinely different schedules, separate single-head systems usually behave better, and we will say so even though it is the bigger quote.

  • Do I need a permit?

Yes. A mini-split is a mechanical installation with an electrical circuit attached, and both are permitted work in every jurisdiction we cover. It is in our price.

  • What does the parts warranty actually cover?

As with any equipment we install, the manufacturer sets the terms and the length turns on registration inside the window. The condition is stated in full below.
